In the United Kingdom, as is the case in many other ‘free world’ countries, freedom of religion is a human and constitutionally-protected right. This right includes the option to convert to any faith, belief system or religion of one’s choice.
Such choice should, therefore, not come with a price tag or consequence of any kind. Yet, the sad reality in this day and age is that converts to Christianity from Islam and other religions find that adherents to their former faiths will not respect or take kindly to their freewill choice to convert.
